self care for 2020!
by Robin mcgraw
We’ve just begun a fresh new decade with fresh new energy, and now's the time to up your game and take your self-care to a whole new level so you can manifest all the things you've been dreaming about! These days self-care goes way beyond pedicures and stay-cations and is truly about finding every day real-life ways to decompress, that have the potential to positively impact our health and wellness long-term.
Can we just agree that 2019 went by in a blur? It seems like every year moves more quickly than the one before. So before we blink and it’s Christmas again, I’ve put together for you my four favorite EASY ways to support and nurture yourself as you go after your perfect vision in 2020.
Not all superheroes wear capes, some wear sheet masks! Inspired by boss ladies, supermoms, everyday women who are doing it all, my luxurious RMR sheet masks are little indulgences designed to fit into your busy life. Because no matter how crazy life gets, we all need some pampering "me time,” even if it's just for 15 minutes.
Pop the Bubbly
Sometimes, a girl’s best friend really is her bathtub, some steam, and a couple of plush towels! I just can’t emphasize enough how much I love the way a warm bubble bath acts like a re-set button for my mood. For a little extra indulgence, enjoy your soak with a generous pour of Lady Primrose Tryst Bathing Gel or sprinkle in some decadent RMR Georgia Detox & Delight Bath Salts.
Weight For It
Losing weight and eating better are always among the most common New Year’s resolutions. But by mid-year, those resolutions are typically as long-gone as the countdown to midnight, and you’ve reverted to your usual routine. Here’s a life-hack just about anyone can find time for; simply walking for 15-30 minutes a day is one of the best ways to improve your health, lower your blood pressure and feel better!
Simplify, streamline, de-clutter! Marie Kondo the number of things you’ll allow yourself to be psychologically bombarded with! Resolve to be more mindful of how technology creeps in and steals the few spare moments of your life. Explore rejuvenating alternatives such as meditation, journaling or stretching as ways to better spend your day’s precious minutes.
We live in a very fast-paced world. With so many commitments competing for our limited time and focus, it’s easy to fall into the trap of putting yourself last on the list. This is damaging to your health and well-being and actually makes you less productive in the long run! With a little intention-setting and planning, 2020 can be your best year of self-care ever!
