Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee
Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri are the co-owners of Nine Zero One Salon, LA’s premiere, trendsetting salon located in West Hollywood. Nikki and Riawna began their journey at Fred Segal Beauty in Santa Monica. From that moment they became best friends and it was the beginning of a partnership that continues today. Nikki and Riawna credit much of their success to respecting each other’s opinion and differing perspectives, “We couldn’t do what we do without each other.”
In 2009 they opened Nine Zero One Salon. They created a space where the client experience is always the highest priority, “We believe people go to salons to look a certain way. People go to Nine Zero One to feel a certain way. We take pride in making sure every client who walks into Nine Zero One feels comfortable; everyone is treated like an A-list celebrity.”
Speaking of A-list celebrities, Nikki and Riawna work with some of the most influential “it girls.” They count Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts, Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, Kate Hudson, Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev, Megan Rapinoe, Ruby Rose etc. as loyal clientele.
Nikki and Riawna are not just trendy hair stylists, they’re so much more. They’re true businesswomen:
In late 2018 Nikki and Riawna launched In Common Beauty with Luxury Brand Partners. Nikki and Riawna believe healthy hair is beautiful hair. They wanted a treatment line that was inclusive to all hair types and textures, which is what they did with In Common, create universal products. In Common products have won various accolades including: Refinery29’s Beauty Innovator Awards, Glamour Beauty Awards and NewBeauty Awards.
Nikki and Riawna also created Raindrops, a shower filtration system to ensure the healthiest hair for everyone. The filters get rid of hard water and harsh minerals, which can damage color and/or create dry hair.
Close to the girls’ hearts is the BeYOUtiful Foundation, which is a 501(c)3 designed to provide hope, love and a path to feeling BeYOUtiful, created for women of all ages defying the odds against cancer.
Education is really important to them so they created 901 Academy which features in-person classes for licensed, professional hairstylists. They also created Beauty Coach TV, which is a mobile platform for sharing Nine Zero One’s tips, tricks, trends, tutorials and teaching song with other leaders in the industry.
