5 shows to binge-watch

Clear your schedules and get comfy, Secret Squad!

I know you’ll all agree that there are some shows so good that they need to be enjoyed in BIG doses. Phillip and I love to binge-watch a series when we find something new! We actually hate it when we catch up!! LOL! So, if you're on the hunt for a new show to dive into, you’ve come to the right place! Here are my top five favorite binge-worthy shows, and where to find them!

  • Schitt’s Creek – (Netflix) Even if you’ve already seen it twice, watch it again! This riches to rags, fish-out-of-water story of the Rose family’s journey to true happiness is worth watching again and again just for the clothes!  Schitt’s Creek is the perfect pick me up, anywhere anytime. Hilarious, witty and chock full of love; it’s simply the best! Six seasons were nowhere near enough, if you ask me.

  • Hacks – (HBO Max) – You’re going to love this one! Here’s the scoop: Aging Vegas comedy icon, Deborah Vance, is in need of a show material make-over in hopes of appealing to a younger audience. Deborah’s agent sends Ava, an entitled, outcast, 25-year-old to help freshen her act. This wickedly funny female-focused comedy explores a dark mentorship that forms between the duo. Did I mention Jean Smart stars as Deborah Vance? Yes please!

  • Mare of Easttown (HBO) – Drama, intrigue, and surprising warmth: this series has me completely on the edge of my seat!! With her personal life crumbling around her, small-town Pennsylvania detective, Mare Sheehan played by Kate Winslet, investigates a local murder. Hang on for the shocking curveballs, twists, and turns in this cat-and-mouse whodunnit!

  • The Voice (Hulu & NBC) –  TWENTY seasons in, and The Voice is still going strong as a tried-and-true favorite of mine! I have always LOVED the show’s focus on the contestants’ voices in the blind auditions; there’s just something so powerful about concentrating on their immeasurable talents over everything else! The chemistry between the judges drives it for me and keeps things effortlessly fresh. I find it so inspiring watching people get the chance to follow their dreams! (Go ‘Team Nick’ 😉)

  • Handmaid's Tale (Hulu) – Just in case you’re out of the loop on The Handmaid’s Tale, the hit show is an adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel. A second American Civil War has resulted in a totalitarian society where fertile women (“Handmaids”) are forced into child-bearing slavery. What now!? Yep, welcome to Gilead. Take this one slooooow…each episode is so jam-packed that I think it would be a shame to overdose on it too quickly. This one is something to be enjoyed and savored little by little; a marathon, not a sprint. Blessed be the fruit!

I absolutely love discovering new shows to watch and rediscovering old favorites! If you have any perfectly picked shows to add to the binge list, be sure to send them my way!
