We’ve finally made it to my favorite time of the year! I love the anticipation of the season and getting into the spirit by decorating my home.
I know that the holidays can get stressful. With so much to do and only so much time, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I always have to set myself a date to finish decorating because if I don’t I’ll be tying bows until Christmas day!
Giving gifts is one of my most favorite things to do, but sometimes it can be one of the most stressful! It can be hard to find something for the people you love most in the world, so I made a little list of some of my go-tos that are always a hit. These gifts are thoughtful, fun, and won’t break the bank.
A Family Recipe Book!
I recently had Daphne Oz on the podcast, and we spoke about how important it is to keep memories and stories alive by writing them down. Well, one way you can do that is by creating a homemade recipe book full of your family’s recipes!
Years ago, my wonderful sister hand wrote all of my mother’s recipes for me and my brother. She put them together in a beautiful book and gave it to us for Christmas. It is one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received and I feel so lucky to have my mother’s recipes to hand down to my children and grandchildren. I also love the practicality of it because I still use it all the time when I make my mother’s recipes!
I love this notebook from Papier where all you have to do is write in all of the recipes!
A Facial!
Something I feel very strongly about is self-care. Especially for women, who tend to put others before themselves, it is SO important to take the time to recharge. I love giving someone a certificate to get a facial because it encourages them to take some time for themselves and not have to worry about anything else. All they have to do is show up for their appointment!
I love sending my friends and family to Skin Camp (which was founded by one of my favorite podcast guests, Karina Sulzer) because they give such amazing facial massages! We hold so much tension in our faces and after getting a facial at Skin Camp I feel so much more relaxed in a way I never thought possible.
I also love the fact that they teach you about how to use a facial roller or Gua Sha, so that you can continue to take care of yourself from the comfort of your own home. A facial massage from Skin Camp is a gift that keeps on giving!
This set is my personal favorite because it gets super cold and doesn’t break if you drop it!
Personalized Jewelry!
Sometimes the smallest gestures can mean the most. I think that personalized gifts, especially jewelry, is one of the most touching gifts to give to someone. Every time they wear it, they can remember that they are loved.
And personalized jewelry doesn’t have to be expensive! I love scrolling through Etsy supporting small businesses who specialize in custom jewelry. These pieces are so simple and easy to wear, that you can gift this to the person who loves to layer, or the one that only wears a couple pieces of jewelry every once in a while.
I absolutely ADORE these custom name necklaces! They are elegant AND affordable! What more could you ask for?
A Coupon Book!
I think this is the perfect gift for someone who says they don’t want anything. I used to LOVE making these for the boys when they were little. I would make coupons that said I would make them their favorite meal or do their chores for the week, and then they could use it whenever they wanted!
This coupon book I found on Amazon makes it so easy! All you have to do is fill out the coupon, cut it out, and that’s it! I personally love decorating them with some fun stickers to make them more fun and personal. I love how thoughtful and fun these are and it can mean so much to the person receiving them.
Holiday Beauty Gift Sets!
During the holiday season, some of my favorite brands come out with THE cutest holiday collections of their products. Whether it’s the Too Faced Christmas In the City Makeup Set or a set of my favorite Fenty Beauty lip glosses, I can’t help but buy these sets for my friends and family!
I also love giving holiday beauty sets because it gives me the opportunity to share some of my favorite products with the people I love, which makes the gift more personal.
